Niel van Hoff has exited as EMI Music Germany president, the company said today (Jan. 10) in statement. A new, as-yet unidentified successor is expected to arrive April 3; an announcement will be made at the end of March 2006.

In the meantime, a newly-formed supervisory board will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Cologne-based firm. EMI Music Continental Europe chairman/CEO Jean-Francois Cecillon will chair the supervisory board, which will comprise both the current management team of EMI Music Germany and key executives from EMI Music's continental European office.

Van Hoff assumed presidency of EMI Music Germany in October 2003. Prior to that, he was managing director of EMI Music Netherlands, a role he had held since joining EMI in December 1999.
