Licenses tracks for Europe's GNAB service.

EMI Music has agreed to license 300,000 tracks to European mobile entertainment provider Arvato Mobile, a unit of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann.

Arvato operates a subscription-based peer-to-peer music service called GNAB. Arvato offers the GNAB platform to digital retailers and content providers, who in turn use it to offer the P2P service under their own brand. Supported content includes music, games, movies and ringtones.

This is the first pan-European licensing agreement for the GNAB service. Arvato has existing licensing deals for individual European countries with SonyBMG.
