Special honoree to be singer/songwriter Ricardo Arjona.
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), will host its 14th annual Latin music awards March 7 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, Ca. The special honoree of the evening will be Guatemalan singer/songwriter Ricardo Arjona, who will receive the ASCAP Latin Heritage Award.
Arjona, one of Latin music’s best selling acts, is also recognized as one of its most prolific and accomplished songwriters. Arjona will be fetted during the invitation only gala that honors the songwriters and publishers of ASCAP’s most performed Latin compositions of 2005.
Awards to be given out include songwriter of the year, publisher of the
year, super song of the year as well as awards in pop, tropical,
regional Mexican, rock, urban and television categories.
