She joined the network as VP in January '05.
Sarah Trahern has been promoted to senior VP of programming at Scripps Networks' Great American Country (GAC). She joined the network as VP of programming in January, 2005.
In her new role, Trahern will oversee program development and acquisition, strategic planning and production as well as programming strategy. Trahern reports to GAC president Ed Hardy.
Prior to joining GAC, she ran her own production company, Sterling Television, where she produced programs for Scripps Networks, PBS, dick clark productions and CMT. Prior to that, her work experience included stints as senior producer at C-SPAN, VP of Scripps' Shop At Home network and manager of specials for The Nashville Network (TNN).
