Expect former Electronic Arts worldwide head of music Steve Schnur to start at Interscope Geffen A&M as early as Feb. 27. While details are still being worked out, sources says Schnur will oversee strategic marketing, which will include videogames and interactive media. He will report to Interscope president of marketing Steve Berman. Courtney Holt, Interscope's VP of new media is expected to stay on board.

In other Interscope-related news, the wheels continue to roll forward on A&M president Ron Fair's negotiations to oversee Geffen as well as A&M. Sources say that Interscope Geffen A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine is courting Polly Anthony, current Geffen co-president, to stay and sign a new contract. Her current contract expires shortly.

Her co-president Jordan Schur will leave Geffen and start a joint venture with Interscope. Schur decided against calling the new label Flip, his existing rock label.

UMG reps declined to comment, but sources say Schur's joint venture will be announced as early as Feb. 17, as soon as he gets clearance on the new label name. That will be followed by the news of Anthony's re-upping, if that occurs, with Fair's announcement coming last.
