Gala takes place April 2 in Halifax.

Canada's Pamela Anderson returns home to host the 2006 Juno Awards taking place April 2 in Halifax Nova Scotia.

The actress/model, raised in Ladysmith, British Columbia, will host the
two-hour awards broadcast being televised nationally in Canada by the CTV network.

The show will feature performances by Canadians Michael Bublé, Nickelback, Bedouin Soundclash, Broken Social Scene, and the 2006 Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee Bryan Adams. As well, Brit pop band Coldplay will be on hand to perform.

Anderson joins an esteemed list of homegrown, international stars who have hosted the Junos over its 35 year history, including Shania Twain, Paul Anka, and Alanis Morissette.
