The first acts for the inaugural Rock’n The Rally music festival are confirmed and include Aerosmith, Sammy Hagar, Big & Rich, Keith Urban, Steve Miller, Cheap Trick, Steppenwolf, Fabulous Thunderbirds, REO Speedwagon, 38 Special, Foghat, Georgia Satellites, Greg Rollie, and Cross Canadian Ragweed among others, has learned. The festival, which will be held Aug. 6-10, in Sturgis, S.D., will be confirming more acts in the coming days.

Rock’n The Rally, to be staged around the giant Sturgis Bike Week that draws thousands to the area, is produced by Dork Fish, Inc.

Dork Fish is in the process of building an $11 million permanent amphitheatre on a 34-acre site at the Glencoe Camp Resort in Sturgis. Capacity will be as high as 60,000. The producer has a 10-year partnership agreement with Glencoe owner Gary Lippold.

Tickets range from $40 to $70 per day and go on sale on March 10 at

Talent-buying is by Dork Fish in conjunction with agent Bobby Lee of Paradise Artists, with a talent budget of about $3 million. The event is currently seeking corporate partners, with branding and marketing handled by Liaison Entertainment Group.
