Shakira, T.I. content used to highlight services.

The battle of the wireless music services is heating up, with Sprint and Verizon Wireless introducing hot music exclusives to draw attention to their respective offerings.

Verizon Wireless and Latina sensation Shakira teamed for the new release “Hips Don’t Lie,” simultaneously releasing the world premier of the full-length song, music video, ringtone, ringback tone, wallpaper and behind-the-scenes footage of the video shoot. Verizon will retain the exclusive rights to sell the “Hips Don’t Lie” content for two months before it will be sold from any other digital or physical retailer.

Meanwhile, Sprint subscribers will be the first to download songs and other content from “King,” the upcoming album from multi-platinum R&B artist T.I., before its March 28 street date. The exclusive access extends to ringtones, ringback tones and wallpaper images. Additionally, Sprint will air a “Life with T.I.” behind-the-scenes video on its Sprint TV service.

Following the album’s release, Sprint will make T.I. its featured artist of the month, offering three unreleased tracks and instrumental versions of other songs as full-song downloads exclusively via the Sprint Music Store. Ringtones and ringback tones of the exclusive songs also will be available, as will exclusive T.I. voicetones and the music video for the albums first single, “What You Know.”
