A&M Prez Takes Reins At Geffen

A&M president Ron Fair has met with Geffen staffers and is already actively running the label, according to inside sources. A UMG spokeman declined to comment, as did Fair.

Sources say Fair met with the staff March 13, the same day that former co-president Jordan Schur announced Suretone Records, his new joint venture with UMG's Interscope Records.

Polly Anthony, who was Geffen co-president since 2004, is renegotiating her deal, according to inside sources, to move to an overarching position at Interscope. She declined to comment.
