"American Idol" is going Latin. Beginning at the end of next month, Sony Entertainment Televisión and Fremantlemedia will begin hosting auditions for "Latin American Idol." The Latin American version of "Idol" will be an adaptation of the successful U.S. format.

Auditions will be held in Mexico City, Caracas, Bogotá and Buenos Aires for contestants 18-30 years old from throughout the region. The first auditions will take place in Mexico City April 22 and 23. Those interested in auditioning can visit latinamericanidol.com for more information.
