English singers Robbie Williams and James Blunt both achieved five-times Platinum Europe certification in March with "Intensive Care" (Chrysalis) and "Back To Bedlam" (Atlantic) respectively, according to the IFPI.

During the month, the trade body honored six albums with Platinum Europe awards, each in recognition for surpassing one million shipments across Europe.

Radiohead's critically-lauded 1997 album "O.K. Computer" (Parlophone) reached triple-platinum during March, while Katie Melua's sophomore set "Piece By Piece" (Dramatico) reached double-platinum status.

The Rolling Stones' "A Bigger Bang" (Virgin) and Italian pop/rock vocalist Zucchero's duets album "Zu & Co" (Universal) each achieved platinum status for the first time.
