Organizers of the Latin Grammys are expected to announce today (April 11) that New York will be the site of the 2006 gala.

Laras president Gabriel Abaroa will join New York mayor Michael Bloomberg and Univision anchor Barbara Bermudo at a news conference at 4:30 p.m. in City Hall for what many expect will be confirmation of New York as the site of the Latin Grammys this fall.

This would mark the first time the Latin Grammys are held in New York City.
