Rabin promoted to VP, Walker to senior director.

Universal Motown Records Group (UMRG) has been appointed Jill Rabin VP of production. She reports to David Ellner, CFO/senior VP of operations for UMRG and is based in New York.

“Jill is a bright, young executive who has proven she’s ready for an expanded role at Universal,” stated Ellner. “Her people skills are second to none, and her practical approach to problem solving as well as her tremendous respect for our artists’ vision makes her adept at meeting every new challenge. The entire company joins me in congratulating Jill on her new role.”

Most previously Rabin was director of production for UMRG. She joined Universal Motown’s production department in 2002 as manager and from 2000 to 2002 she was the assistant to David Ellner.

Additionally, Cara Walker has been appointed senior director of production for UMRG. She reports to Jill Rabin and is based in New York.

Most previously Walker was director of production for UMRG, beginning in its production department in 2000 as manager. In 1999 Walker was production coordinator for Verve Records and she began her career in the music business in 1997 at PolyGram Records.
