AOL Music Now unveiled a Web Services initiative designed to give Web developers access to AOL Music content.

The company’s new developer site allows Web site developers, bloggers and others to add streaming music links, artist feeds, album and chart information and other data from the AOL Music Now service to their blog or Web site. The result is similar to adding a MapQuest map to a Web site, also an AOL property.

Because AOL’s music service is Web-based, music fans will not be required to download any software to access the music feeds integrated into participating, the company said.
