Wolk had been working with WMG incubators
Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) has named Mitchell Wolk executive VP. Based in New York, he reports to ADA president Andy Allen.
Wolk comes to ADA, the independent distribution arm of the Warner Music Group, from the parent company's Independent Label Group. The latter includes Asylum, Web/mobile initiative Cordless Recordings and rock incubator East West Records.
According to a WMG release, Wolk will oversee the everyday managerial, financial, business development and administrative operations of the company. Wolk will also continue to build ADA's roster of labels.
Prior to joining WMG in 2005, Wolk worked for Sony BMG's RED Distribution, where he held the position of senior VP, finance and administration.
