Gina Harrell previously held roles at Elektra.
Gina Harrell has been appointed senior VP of Video Production for the Universal Motown Records Group (UMRG). Harrell reports to Mel Lewinter, chairman/CEO of UMRG; Sylvia Rhone, president of Universal Motown; and Monte Lipman, president of Universal Republic Records.
Previously Harrell was VP of video production for the Elektra Entertainment Group, producing and developing videos for artists including Missy Elliott, Metallica, Busta Rhymes, Tracy Chapman, Jet, Staind, Fabolous, Tamia, and others. Prior to her tenure with Elektra, she was a freelance producer, responsible for developing videos such as Method Man and Mary J Blige’s “You’re All I Need,” and House Of Pain’s “Jump Around.”
After Elektra Harrell developed two upcoming feature film projects, contributed to the re-design of the new Motown logo, and produced Franz Ferdinand’s “Do You Want To,” and Nas’ “Bridging The Gap” (featuring Olu Dara) videos, among other works. Ms. Harrell began her career with Elektra in 1995 as a Director of Video Production.
