Current president prepares to exit July 31.

As expected, Bruce Moran and Phil Ernst will move to Live Nation’s New York office as president and senior VP, respectively.

Moran will be responsible for overseeing all of the company’s regional concert booking, marketing and promotion as well as supervising and guiding the New York staff. He comes to Live Nation from OCESA Presents/CIE USA Entertainment where he was CEO, managing the company’s international booking and talent buying operations and running the company’s U.S.-based businesses. During the 12 years he spent with the company, Mexico has the most active concert market in Latin America.

Prior to his tenure at OCESA Presents/CIE, Moran was VP of music for Madison Square Garden.

Ernst will work closely with Moran to oversee all of the company’s booking in the region. He has worked with Moran at OCESA Presents/CIE since 2000, most recently serving as president of OCESA Presents.

News of Ernst and Moran joining Live Nation New York comes as current president of Live Nation New York prepares to exit the company when his contract expires July 31 (Billboard.biz, May 9). Glancy will partner with John Moore at the Bowery Presents in New York, beginning Aug. 1, promoting shows in a wide range of venues.

Venues booked by Live Nation New York include the Avalon, the Roseland Ballroom, the Hammerstein Ballroom and Irving Plaza in New York City, along with Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y., and the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, N.J. Live Nation is also a major promoter at Madison Square Garden, including the recent 12 sellouts by Billy Joel, and six Madonna sellouts this summer.
