Catherine Leung has been promoted to the new position of GM, marketing and digital, at Universal Music China, effective immediately.

Leung will continue to be based in Beijing, where she has been based since January 2005 in her capacity as GM, new media, for Universal Music South East Asia. She will report to Universal Music Hong Kong and China managing director Hung Tik.

In her new role, Leung will oversee the development, growth and promotion of domestic, regional and international repertoire in China.

Leung joined Universal in April 2003 as GM of Universal Mobile South East Asia.
