Rosita Kuerbis is the new managing director of German Sounds, the Berlin-based national music export office.

Rosita Kuerbis is the new managing director of German Sounds, the Berlin-based national music export office.

Kuerbis, until recently project director with the organization, was appointed to the role on Monday (June 19) during a members' meeting in the German capital. She was elected for one year.

The founder and former managing director Peter James was elected to its supervisory board of German Sounds.

German Sounds was established in December 2003 with a remit to open-up foreign markets for German copyright-owners, artists, producers and small-to-medium-sized music companies.
