The U.K.'s mechanical rights organization MCPS has unveiled a spate of promotions and appointments.

Paul Clements, who has served at the MCPS for 10 years, has been promoted to licensing director from senior media licensing manager.

He will oversee the licensing of CDs, DVDs, cover mounts and other products. Clements replaces Sharon Dean who left earlier this year to form her own company.

Former senior licensing manager Mark Lawrence is now MCPS' operations director; he is responsible for the technology systems used to administer the licensing.

Both London-based executives report to MCPS executive director Jeremy Fabinyi.

Meanwhile, the MCPS board has taken on two new directors: songwriter/producer Steve Levine, and Ian Wright, chairman of indie publishing company Reverb Music.
