Zomba Music Publishing has acquired the catalog of U.K.-based Strongsongs Music Publishing from the Telstar Music Group and Strongsongs' founders Anna and Mark Jolley.

The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, gives Zomba the publishing rights to recordings by international hitmakers, including U.S. metal veterans Metallica, British R&B singer Craig David, pop acts Danni Minogue, BBMak, Hear'Say, rapper Plan B, boy band East 17.

"Anna and Mark, along with the Telstar Music Group, have built a solid publishing company on good foundations over the years and we are determined to do that legacy justice," said Zomba Music Publishing GM Tim Smith in a statement.

As part of the Strongsongs acquisition, Zomba has signed a deal to represent the works of Christian Burns, former BBMak lead singer, and his new band Inhaler.

Separately, Zomba has signed two new acts for publishing. The first is San Francisco-based Seventeen Evergreen, whose debut album "Life Embarrasses Me On Planet Earth" comes out on indie Lucky Number Records later this year. The other signing is unsigned acts Mamas Gun.
