CMH Records has hired Ed Maxin as VP of sales. A distribution veteran, Maxin is the former sales director of Navarre Entertainment Media and has also worked for Capitol-EMI and WEA.

The Los Angeles-based label group is best known for its “Pickin’ On” bluegrass tribute series to such artists as the Grateful Dead and U2. Beyond bluegrass and roots music, CMH also houses imprints responsible for albums in other genres, including hip-hop release Dr. Octagon’s “The Return of Dr. Octagon” on OCD International and Vitamin Records’ string quartet tribute series.
