Exits "Kingsley's Country Top 40" for role.

Country record industry veteran Rick Baumgartner has joined independent label Rust Records as VP of promotions, reporting to label president Ken Cooper.

In joining Rust, Baumgartner exits his position as director of promotions and affiliate relations/Nashville at syndicated show "Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40," less than five months after starting that job.

Prior to that, Baumgartner spent 17 years as a promotion executive at Warner Bros. Nashville, Decca Records, Atlantic Records Nashville, Broken Bow Records and Equity Music Group.

He hosted sports talk radio shows in Nashville at WLAC and WSIX-AM in the mid-'80s.
