Warner/Chappell Music has signed a worldwide administration agreement with Fher and Alex Gonzàlez, members of Mexican rock band Manà.

The publisher was previously home to the songwriter/artists; this deal covers new compositions by Manà's award-winning primary writers. Separately, Warner/Chappell also extended its existing administration arrangement for select songs of the Manà catalog written in prior years.

"Manà are the undisputed kings of Latino rock," says Richard Blackstone, chairman/CEO of Warner/Chappell. "With their huge following in the United States and around the world, and a 20-year legacy of writing hit songs, Warner/Chappell is delighted to renew our relationship with Fher and Alex and is committed to finding exciting opportunities for their first-rate catalog."

Gustavo Menendez, regional director of Warner/Chappell, Latin America, added, "With their recent single topping several Latin charts, Manà is as popular as ever, and we couldn't be happier that they are rejoining the Warner/Chappell family."

Formed in 1986, Manà includes Fher (vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica); Alex Gonzàlez (vocals, drums, electric percussion); Sergio Vallin (electric and acoustic guitars, sitar coral, requinto) and Juan Calleros (bass).

Manà records for Warner Music Mexico and has sold more than 19 million records worldwide, according to the publisher. They have been honored with five Grammy awards and 13 Billboard Music awards.

In its first week of release, the band's new single, "Labios Compartidos," debuted at No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs where it has remained for four consecutive weeks. Manà's forthcoming album, "Amar Es Combatir," is scheduled for worldwide release on Aug. 22.
