Departure due to no-compete clause.

John Beeder, who was hired July 25 to be president and COO for the Handleman Co., has resigned from the Troy, Mich.-based rackjobber.

Breeder previously was a top executive with Hallmark, and apparently had a no-compete clause when he left that company. The press release cites Handleman winning a category management assignment with a new customer in the U.K. to distribute to sell greeting cards as something that Breeder felt would "conflict" with his own personal interests.
