London-based publisher Notting Hill Music Group has signed R&B songwriter/producer Mike City to an exclusive, worldwide publishing deal covering future works.

The L.A.-based artist has written and produced songs by Usher, Sunshine Anderson, Greg Thomas and Jamie Foxx, among others.

Notting Hill Music president Peter Chalcraft declared the new agreement one of the company's most significant to-date. "This is a huge coup for us, we are delighted to have finally inked the deal," Chalcraft comments. "Mike is a consistently successful, world class songwriter/producer/artist and to attract someone of his calibre is a fantastic endorsement of The Notting Hill Music Group and illustrates further our ambition to become a major player in the global music publishing industry."

City has separately launched Umbrella Recordings, a co-venture with Universal Music Group, which will release his own recordings and those of his first signing Carl Thomas.

In other news, Notting Hill Music has clinched an agreement to represent Atlanta-based rapper Sean Paul Joseph, one half of rap duo Young Bloodz. The deal includes all of Joseph's works, including three Youngbloodz albums, guest appearances and his forthcoming album release on Jive Records.
