First soundtrack will drop Oct. 10.

MTV2 has partnered with Asylum Records to release soundtracks based on the network's hip-hop music series "My Block."

The first, "My Block: Chicago-The Soundtrack," which includes songs by Windy City natives like Common, Lupe Fiasco and Shawnna, will be in stores Oct. 10. (The album will be exclusively available Oct. 3-9 via Urge, MTV's digital music service.)

"My Block: Chicago," which premieres Oct. 9, follows MTV News' Sway Calloway as he explores the sounds and styles of the city by getting a personal tour from Common and skateboarding lessons from Fiasco.
