A first for a Canadian broadcaster.
Toronto-based MuchMusic has partnered with download service provider Puretracks, to launch a digital download store (shop.muchmusic.com). The online service, which is a first for a Canadian broadcaster, went live today (Oct. 4).
The selection includes more than a million tracks including a sizable selection from independent labels. Prices range from $.79 to $1.29 ($.70-$1.15 US) per track.
To kick off the launch of the store, MuchMusic and Windup Records are offering an exclusive acoustic version of “Call Me When You’re Sober,” bundled with the new album “The Open Door,” by Evanescence.
