Jeremy Hammond has been named senior VP of A&R for Sanctuary Records. Hammond, who is based in Los Angeles, moves to the position from the Sanctuary Group, where he was the senior VP of artist development. He reports to Sanctuary Records Group executive VP/GM Bob Cahill.
The label veteran's career includes stints with Sony, Capitol and Universal before moving to Sanctuary in 2004 to head up the worldwide marketing campaigns for Morrissey, Robert Plant, Tegan & Sara and the Drive-Thru roster. He will now be responsible for signing and developing new and established artists for the label group.
"I am delighted to be part of the new era of Sanctuary and the new team. I am looking forward to signing and developing a unique blend of undiscovered and already established artists here in North America," says Hammond in a statement.
