Canada's Marquis label has signed an American distribution deal with Koch Entertainment, effective Jan. 1, 2007.

The 25-year-old Marquis -- with an extensive classical catalog as well as jazz and adult contemporary titles -- continues to be distributed in Canada by EMI Music Canada.

"As soon as we met with Koch, we knew they were the perfect distributor for Marquis in the U.S.," says the Toronto-based label's president, Earl Rosen.

"Their commitment, enthusiastic management team and their incredible support systems will create many new opportunities for Marquis and our artists."

"Marquis' catalog of high profile classical artists and eclectic titles will make the perfect addition to our current roster," adds Michael Rosenberg, president of Koch Entertainment Distribution.

Among the acts with current releases on Marquis are singer Térez Montcalm, the Toronto Children's Chorus and jazz singer Dione Taylor.
