Dolores O'Riordan, former front-woman for Irish alternative rock act the Cranberries, is stepping out with a solo album.

The as-yet-untitled record is expected to land in the U.K. on May 7, 2007 through a deal with Sequel, the recently reactivated Sanctuary Records imprint.

She will embark on a summer world tour in support of the album. The lead single is expected to street in late April 2007.

The Cranberries' last album was 2001's "Wake Up and Smell the Coffee."
