Starbucks Entertainment revealed plans today (Dec. 7) to include Low Stars as the third music act featured on its "Hear Music Debut" CD series.

Low Stars' self-titled album will be available exclusively at the more than 6,000 Starbucks locations across the United States and Canada starting Feb. 15, 2007.

The Los Angeles-based band joins previous "Hear Music Debut" artists Antigone Rising and Sonya Kitchell, whose albums have sold a combined total of approximately 210,000 units in the United States, according to Starbucks Entertainment.

"One of the most exciting things we do at Starbucks Entertainment is use the unique platform we have created in our stores to offer a solid launching point in the journey of a new artist," Ken Lombard, president of Starbucks Entertainment, said in a statement.

Starbucks marketing support for 2007's "Hear Music Debut" will include in-store signage, point-of-purchase displays and in-store music play. The coffee company will also tap into its relationship with XM Satellite Radio.
