For the second consecutive year gospel veteran Donald Lawrence took top honors at the 22nd annual Stellar Awards, held Jan. 13 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Lawrence was named artist of the year and producer of the year. His longtime group, The Tri City Singers, were named choir of the year. Additionally, "Donald Lawrence Presents the Tri-City Singers Finale: Act One" was named contemporary CD of the year, special event CD of the year, and top video.

EMI Gospel's Myron Butler was named male vocalist and his group Myron Butler and Levi received contemporary the group/duo of the year and new artist awards. Kirk Franklin's "Hero" was named CD of the year. Dorinda Clark-Cole was named female vocalist of the year. Cole and her siblings Jacky Clark-Chisholm, Twinkie Clark and Karen Clark-Sheard, who pioneered the gospel format as the legendary Clark Sisters, were recipients of the 2007 Chevrolet Most Notable Achievement Award.
