Madison Square Garden in New York has appointed Scott Richman to the newly created position of senior VP/GM of MSG Interactive for MSG Media. He reports to MSG Media president Michael Bair.
In his new role, Richman will be responsible for managing all digital products at the 20,000-seat Madison Square Garden, along with the Web sites for MSG Entertainment's Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre and MSG Network. In addition, he will work on Web sites initiatives for basketball's New York Knicks and Liberty, and hockey's New York Rangers.
Prior to joining MSG Media, Richman was VP/GM of programming at American Online where supervised sales integration, promotion and marketing for various AOL properties including music/entertainment, news, sports and lifestyle. He was also responsible for AOL City Guide and AOL Tickets. Before his time at AOL, Richman served as VP of partnership marketing at BMG.
