More than two dozen international artists will gather in the Indonesian capital March 2-4 for the third annual Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival, billed as Asia's biggest-ever jazz event.

Acts scheduled to perform at the event include Sergio Mendes, John Scofield, David Benoit, Diane Schuur, Chaka Khan, Jamie Cullum, Sadao Watanabe, Level 42, Joe Sample, Rob Carter, Harvey Mason, Deniece Williams, Richard Bona, and Kyle Eastwood.

The festival will also feature top Indonesian jazz musicians such as female vocalist Ruth Sahanaya.

The event will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center, with some 200 performances taking place on 15 stages over its three days.

The festival is organized by PT Java Festival Productions, with the support of the Indonesian government and various sponsors. Ticket prices range from $55 to $110.

The festival will also feature free music clinics where artists will host workshops and demo performances. A special highlight of the festival will be showcase performances featuring both Indonesian and international artists.
