Univision Communications' net revenue increased 6.5% in the fourth quarter
to $546.9 million, from $513.5 million in Q4 last year. Net income in the quarter grew to $99.7 million from $27.4 million for the same period in 2005.

Led by the Spanish-language media company's television business, which broadcast the 7th annual Latin Grammys and "La Fea Mas Bella," full-year 2006 net revenue grew 11% to $2.1 billion. Net income for the year rose to $349.2 million, over last year's $187.2 million.

Univision Music Group, which completed the remaining 50% of its acquisition of Disa Records during Q4, brought in $34.1 million in revenue during the period-down from $44.5 million the year before. Operating income for the music group stood at a $5.1 million loss for the full year.

"During the fourth quarter, there were indications that the U.S. Latin music industry began to stabilize, including fewer customer returns experienced by Univision Music Group than in the previous three quarters," the earnings report stated.

Univision Radio's net revenue grew 11% in the fourth quarter. Univision Online, which launched its digital music store last summer, increased its unique visits by 45% over the fourth quarter of 2005.

Sale of Univision Communications to a private investment group is expected to be completed by the end of this quarter.
