The Shins, Dashboard Confessional and Fabolous are among the artists on board for mtvU's 2007 Campus Invasion Music Festival, set to be hosted in Austin, Texas, Atlanta and Philadelphia. The network has paired with the Save Darfur Coalition with the intention of raising awareness of the embattled region amongst concert-goers.

On April 22, the Shins will be taking the stage with The Academy Is..., Shiny Toy Guns, the Rapture and Ronnie Day at the Backyard in Austin. Hip-hop/rap acts like Fabolous, Rick Ross, D.G. Yola and Rich Boy will be featured at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre in Atlanta on April 27 while Dashboard Confessional, Gym Class Heroes, Augustana, K-OS, Kidz In The Hall and Kenna will perform April 29 at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia.

More artists are expected to be added to the Atlanta lineup, according to organizers. Each location will feature nearly six hours of live performances on two stages. Portions of the program, including interviews with the various acts, will be broadcast on the college-centered cable network and via the mtvU Web site beginning April 30.
