Another digital music service has entered the game, with NT Media launching an a la cart music download offering.

The company has quietly struck deals with all the major record labels, as well as the larger independent digital music aggregators such as The Orchard, IODA and CD Baby. The company's gimmick is to offer tracks at a 10% discount through the use of a points system. Points can be earned by recommending tracks directly to friends, or by creating showcases of preferred music that results in subsequent sales.

Not surprisingly, the services use Microsoft's WMA digital rights management system. PassAlong Networks is providing the back-end technology and music catalog.
