Peermusic has entered into a worldwide joint venture publishing agreement with Vicky and Marisol Terrazas, the sisters who head Los Horóscopos de Durango, one of the top-selling duranguense groups in the market.

The company, called Black & Blonde Music (presumably because one sister is a
blonde, the other a brunette), will allow the group to sign third party songs to be recorded by Horóscopos. The Terrazas sisters have also been signed as exclusive songwriters to peer.

The JV is the most recent in a series of major publishing deals involving regional Mexican music, a genre in which many major acts are signed to agreements with small, independent companies.

The deal was negotiated by Yvonne Gomez, peermusic's Latin Creative director for the West Coast and Mexico.

A sub genre of regional Mexican music, duranguense is a style similar to techno-banda, characterized by a two-step, danceable beat and a mix of electronic and acoustic instruments.
