Mobile marketing firm Mozes has landed a deal with Universal Motown and Universal Republic under which more than 60 artists can now use the company's text-messaging service to create mobile fan communities. Mozes announced the deal at Billboard's Mobile Entertainment Live! conference, of which it was the title sponsor.

The text-message campaigns can be used to communicate with fans, as well as launch text-to-win contests for such prizes as backstage passes, access to new music, and more.
