The MP3 lawsuits just keep coming.

Now, a company called Hop On claims it has patents on any mobile phone that doubles as an MP3 player. Specifically, the company says it will pursue royalties on any flip phones that employ side speakers and both front and side buttons used to activate certain features.

Tech blog Ars Technica says the company has little chance on collecting, though. The patents are for visual design, not functional utility, and the company has a rather sketchy past -- including a president that has been arrested for defrauding investors of a past company.
