Mexico City-based MVS Radio, which operates 54 EXA FM pop stations in Latin America and the U.S., is partnering with Internet TV provider WhiteBlox to broadcast online starting this month.

Through the exafm.com portal, Houston-based WhiteBlox will provide live streams, on-demand video and audio, and Webcast performances from the network's Mexico City studios.

Individual EXA stations, such as San Diego's 91.7-FM, already stream audio live. But the move comes as MVS seeks a bigger foothold in the U.S., where it also operates an El Paso, Texas, station and supplies content to a third in Salinas, Calif.

The vast majority of Spanish-language radio is consumed over the air despite recent growth in online radio offerings.
