Razor & Tie is partnering with Starbucks Entertainment to co-release a two
CD version of the Monterey International Pop Festival on June 7. In addition to Starbucks stores, the 26-song, two CD set, will be available simultaneously at other retailers as well.

The set, which carries a $21.98 list price, contains unreleased live tracks from from Simon & Garfunkel and Buffalo Springfield, as well as tracks from Big Brother & The Holding Company, the Byrds, Jefferson Airfield, the Who, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Mamas & The Papas, and Otis Redding. A series of events are being staged to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the festival, including a special exhibit at The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and a Hollywood RockWalk induction ceremony.

Additionally, a press release on the album's release says VH1 is also creating a documentary about the festival to air on the June 16 anniversary.

In 1997 Rhino was hawking a 70-song, 4-CD version of the set during the
festival's 30th Anniversery.
