The Orchard has sued LTDnetwork for non-payment of an invoice for music delivered by the music content provider.

The complaint, filed May 16 in the Supreme Court in New York, alleges that the Orchard entered a license agreement with the Qtrax ad-supported P2P music sampling service last August. Under the agreement, the Orchard was to deliver its catalog of authorized recordings -- about 400,000 tracks -- to LTDnetwork. In return, the Orchard was to receive $160,000 plus shipping as "a flat, non-recoupable delivery fee," the complaint says.

The amount was due last October, but only $20,000 was received, the suit says. The Orchard seeks $140,200 plus interests.

LTDnetwork was not immediately available to comment.
