Brian Caplan and Jonathan Ross have formed the law firm Caplan & Ross in New
York, which will focus on intellectual property and entertainment-related litigation.

The lawyers were with Labaton Sucharow & Rudoff in New York. Caplan has been
the lead attorney in the class action suit filed the Allman Brothers Band, Cheap Trick and others against Sony BMG Music Entertainment, which challenges the apportionment of royalties received from digital downloads.

The new firm expects to continue collaborating with the Labaton firm on the Allman Brothers case, which is still pending in a federal court in New York.
