As part of a regional localization strategy, MTV Networks Latin America will decentralize its programming and production operations from Miami to local teams in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Mexico City.

The move puts Jose Tillan, currently senior VP of music programming and talent strategy for MTV Networks Latin America and MTV Tr3s, in charge of content, music and pan-regional business strategies for MTV and VH1 Latin America. Tillan will remain in Miami and maintain a "strategic role" at MTV Tr3s as he reports to MTVNLA president Pierluigi Gazzolo.

Reporting to Tillan will be newly-appointed content heads Vicente Solis, who
will be vice president of content for MTV and VH1's Northern Region (Mexico), and Jimmy Leroy, who has relocated to Sao Paulo from Miami to become VP of content for VH1 Brazil. A new content head for MTV and VH1 Argentina has yet to be named.

Under the new strategy, the regional content heads will supervise and develop programming for their respective markets but also look for co-productions across the regions. The content heads will also report to country GMs Paula Guerra in Argentina, Alvaro Barros in Brazil and Carlos Magana in Mexico.
