Tickets go on sale June 11 for “Celia,” an off-Broadway musical about late salsa legend Celia Cruz’ life and music.

The production at New York’s New World Stages is directed by Jaime Azpilicueta and produced by event promoter Henry Cardenas and David Maldonado. The latter produced the off-Broadway play “Who Killed Hector Lavoe?” in 1999.

“Celia” premieres Aug. 28 at 8 p.m., and will be presented in Spanish, with two English shows on weekends.
