Iconix Brand Group has tapped Fergie for its Candie's brand Fall 2007 ad campaign, encompassing print, TV and Online. The junior Candie's brand -- available exclusively at Kohl's department stores -- is prominently featured in the music video of Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry."

Footage from the video makes up the TV spot, while the print component features stills taken during the video shoot.

Julie Gardner, executive VP and chief marketing officer of Kohl's, calls the campaign innovative and authentic. "[It] leverages the music video, which makes the brand more relevant to our junior shoppers."

Iconix Brand Group chief marketing officer Dari Marder concurs, adding, "This is a wonderful opportunity for Candie's to be able to lift our brand creative straight out of Fergie's hit video. It further validates the Candie's brand as part of pop culture."

Fergie, meanwhile, appreciates that Candie's is giving her creative input. "They are allowing me to bring my touch to the campaign and I love that." Fergie's role as spokesmodel of the junior brand runs through the holiday season.

Fergie is currently headlining the 20-city Verizon VIP Tour, of which Candie's is the exclusive fashion sponsor. Each concert includes a live Candie's fashion show. Tickets to the tour are exclusive to Candie's and Verizon Wireless via giveaways and Kohl's in-stores.

"Big Girls Don't Cry" is currently in the top five of The Billboard Hot 100.
