Following last week's MediaDefender e-mail leak, bit torrent search engine site The Pirate Bay has now turned over certain e-mails to police that the company says prove major media companies are paying hackers to sabotage the service.

The Pirate Bay issued a complaint to Swedish authorities against the Swedish divisions of EMI Music, Universal Music Group and Sony BMG, in addition to several film and videogame companies, charging infrastructural sabotage, denial of service attacks, hacking and spamming.

A Pirate Bay blog post claims several e-mails among the thousands leaked onto the Internet earlier this month discuss the specific actions.

"We now have proof of the things we've been suspecting for a long time; the big record and movie labels are paying professional hackers, saboteurs and ddosers to destroy our trackers."
