R&B duo Nina Sky have inked a deal with Polo Grounds/J Records and plan to release their sophomore record, "The Musical,” early next year. The album was originally slated for an early 2007 release via Universal Republic.

"We are excited to be a part of the Polo Grounds Music/J Records family," say twin sisters Nicole and Natalie. "We can't wait to begin working with Bryan [Leach] on our new album because he understands the Nina Sky movement. We are confident that, together we can take our project to the next level."

"The Musical" features production by Cipha Sounds, Cool & Dre, Salaam Remi, Ryan Leslie and Scott Storch. Trey Songz and Rick Ross make guest appearances. Meanwhile, Nina Sky and Leach, president of Polo Grounds, take executive production credit.

The sisters will also return to the studio to record a few more tracks for the album, which is nearly complete.

Nina Sky's 2004 self-titled debut album peaked at No. 21 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. It has sold 229,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
